FAQs

I hope these help you understand how we work and what we can offer you. However please feel free to contact us and we will answer any further questions you may have.

How much does it cost?

Prices vary depending on the package. For results it is best to go for a package rather than a single session - that's why I don't sell one-offs because i don't want to waste your money. The crucial point here is that we get results and although on face value we look more expensive than joining a gym, the fact is that most people onlu last 4-6 weeks in the gym before getting bored or disillusioned and leaving with nothing to show - with another 11 months direct debit leaving the bank account. Better to pay for our personal services that'll get you results without the long term financial commitment.

Am I fit enough for personal training?

Yes! I have heard people say 'I want to get fitter before starting a training plan', which to me makes no sense at all. The less fit you are, the bigger the the fitness gains you will make and the more satisfaction you will get. By trying to get fit yourself you are likely to reach a plateau quickly and quit. Give yourself the best start to your fitness and get help doing it!

Who would benefit from sports massage?

If you have tightness in any muscles, you suffer recurring sports injury or ongoing niggles or you need to recover from hard training or racing then sports massage therapy is for you. You wil also benefit from sports massage therapy if you have a sedentary job or you drive a lot and have low back pain as a result.

What if I don't get the results I want?

Remember that just paying for help does not mean you will get fitter. If you follow the plan however you will get results. If you are unhappy with your progress we will work with you to ensure you get the results you want. If you still have no joy we will offer you a 100% money back guarantee.

What advantage is there of using a personal trainer?

The fact than most people who embark on a fitness goal give up in 4 to 6 weeks says a lot. Those who succeed usually use a personal trainer. Research from one of the gym chains I used to work from claimed that 60% of people give up on their goal after 4-6 weeks, 40% continue and of that percentage 90% used a personal trainer. These are the ones who reach their goal. So if you want to reach your goal quickly then we will be very happy to help you.

Are there different packages at different price points?

Yes depending on your time commitment, your location and your budget you can opt for one to one, small group, or online training. Massage and physio treatment is less flexible and requires one to one time. Number of sessions depends on the situation for each individual.

Where are you based? Will you do home visits?

Based in Bristol we will do one to one sessions in our area. We will do 'home visits' within a reasonable mileage. I am very keen on using the great outdoors for training so we can arrange a variety of venues as appropriate. Sports massage and physiotherapy can be arranged too.

Who do you work with?

Personal Training: I get great satisfaction from helping those who have set themselves a big inspiring goal suc as their first running event or triathlon. I have helped people get from unfit and sedentary to completing marathons! I have also helped endurance athletes who want to achieve on a national and international level. If you are keen and need the guidance then I'd love to work with you.

Sports Massage and Physio: I work with lots of injuries from ankle to neck problems. If you have a painful injury or you want to prevent them then I work with you to achieve this.

How hard will I be expected to work?

Ths depends on your ability and your goals. Although I will push your personal boundary this will be different for each person. You can always choose not to do an activity if you feel uncomfortable.

I'm too busy to meet you in person - is there an alternative?

Online training plans are perfect for this situation.

What's the difference between sports massage and physiotherapy? Which one do I need?

Sports massage and physiotherapy go hand in hand. Often sports massage can be used as a preventative to injury and maintainance of a good condition. Physio treatment is often requires ad a result of injury - fixing it quickly and rehabilitating it. They are often used hand in hand to get the best results for the client.
